Hello, my name is Catherine Mao and I am from Edmonton. I am currently attending Old Scona Academic in the Full IB program, and will graduate in 2026. Outside of academics, I enjoy painting and playing sports like soccer and handball.
Through the WISEST Summer Research Program, I will be working with the Hall group for the summer. My research includes synthesizing boronic esters from boronic acids and purifying them to analyze specific bonds from the starting reactant.
